This year we have improved our environmental footprint by significantly reducing the chemicals we use to clean our properties (and home) we are using a chemical free method using plain water and microfibre cleaning cloths. So far this has proved very successful and is actually cheaper and quicker! we'll let you know how it works in the long term but fingers crossed as it's looking good.
Direct access to Loch Sunart, dive air, 24 hour support, workshop facilities for minor breakdowns if you bring your own boat. Boat launch and retrieval services. Marine and wildlife expertise.
Please note that Laga Lodge is on the loch side and access is via steep and uneven steps from our car park. Easier access with fewer steps is available by bringing your car to the front of the property along the stone beach.

It's good to make sure that your car is fueled up before coming onto the peninsula as fuel is expensive and the nearest fuel station is about 15 miles away at Strontian.
There are small shops 5, 8 and 15 miles away but it's also good to come prepared with food for meals when you arrive rather than have to go out again.
We allow well behaved pets but need to be notified beforehand, we have had tortoises holidaying with us in the past! We do expect you to both find and leave the property in a good clean condition. There is no smoking in the lodge.
We love this area and hope that you do too and that you have a wonderful holiday staying in Laga Bay.
Andy and I are usually available throughout your stay but we both go out to work and living in such a remote (though beautiful) location means that sometimes we may not be at home 24/7 . We live next door to Laga Lodge and how much interaction we have is entirely up to you. Laga Lodge is private and peaceful but we are about if needed.
As there is limited and patchy mobile reception we may be out of communication at times eg driving into town to shop.
Andy, my husband and I live on the west coast of Scotland and love all the challenges it brings. We have made lots of lovely friends through our self catering accommodation business and our boats. We work hard and are fully involved in setting up and running the Carna Conservation Initiative. I also work as the local nurse and recently broke my arm going skiing for the first time at 61 yrs old!
My motto is "It's not what you do in life that you'll regret, it's what you don't do" so get out there and do it!
My close and extended family and friends are what are most important to me, they are what makes life worthwhile.
