Situated in the village of Caeathro on the A4085 to Caernarfon. Snowdonia, The Llŷn peninsula and Anglesey are just a few of the beautiful areas surrounding my home. Mountains, lakes. beaches, castles, biking, water sports - all within easy reach.
The space consists of 2 furnished double bedrooms with another double and 2 single bed in the upstairs area which is very light having 2 Velux windows with blinds.
One bedroom has a sliding door opening out onto the decking area. The other looks over the garden. There is one bathroom with a shower cabinet (I've recently had to replace the bathroom so there is no longer a bath. I have yet to update the photograph) and one outside pedestal toilet. There is a comfortable sitting room with a wood burning stove, TV and DVD player. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar are supplied. There is a fridge and microwave, crockery and glasses for your own use. Ironing board, iron and hairdryer on hand. I can offer an evening meal if required. Guests have appreciated not having to book a restaurant on the first evening of their stay.
House and garden with easy chairs for sitting out on the deck, lounging and sundowners.
There is a gas fuelled barbecue for which I ask £5 towards the cost of the gas.
Fortunately the sun is in the garden from early morning to about 9pm in the summer. There is ample kitchen space with table to seat up to 8 people.

The buses to Caernarfon - change for Bangor, Porthmadog and Pwllheli; Llanberis for Pen y Pass and Snowdon and Beddgelert for the gorgeous Aberglaslyn pass and Osprey watching
all pass in front of the house. From ancient prehistoric sites in spectacular surroundings to architecturally awesome Norman castles to the modern day Electric mountain, Zip World and Bounce Below - all are within easy travelling distance.
Smoking outside. Pets can be discussed (I have an 11 year old Border Collie) and will incur an extra charge. They must have a basket for sleeping.
Smoking is allowed outside.
I'd like guests to ask about anything that I haven't explained or isn't obvious. Bear in mind that I have a small living space in the garden but respect guests' privacy.
I do have access to the utility room via the back door.
I will be here to welcome you and show you around. I live in a self contained garden chalet but I have access to the utility room via the back door. I have guide books describing circular walks in Snowdonia, Anglesey and The Llŷn and I am always delighted to help with your plans.
Croeso i Arfon.
I do love to walk with Dot, my Border Collie, in the hills and on the coastal pathways.
I have travelled in India, Africa and the Middle East. I prefer eating in people eateries which is where you get the real food of the country, I think. I love reading and can help out if guests have forgotten to bring a book with them! I would love the opportunity to cook for guests. I was self employed for 23 years providing location catering for our Welsh TV channel. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free - no problem. I love to listen to what other people have to say about life and the places they have visited. My hope is that guests will feel relaxed in a fairly informal house and also try my cooking!
I'd like to point out that, just a few miles up the road (A4085) are several alternative routes to the summit of Snowdon - the Mountain Ranger path and the Rhyd Ddu path. Both are far less busy than the Pen y Pass paths and are also hugely enjoyable as confirmed by my guests who have chosen to walk them.
