Rayan, I am very disappointed by your review. My house is 11 miles from the Stanford campus and while there is a lot of Bay Area traffic, most people who stay with me have a car and they do not expect rides from the hosts. I drove you to grocery store, to the campus, to the bus stop several times and my son even drove you to your new house. There are also many Lyft and Uber services readily available for people who don't have cars. The bus to the Stanford campus is free but, of course it takes longer by bus than by car. I'm not sure why you say that my neighborhood is "creepy". It is well lit, there are sidewalks and many stores and restaurants near the bus stop.
Regarding my dogs.... My old dog, Shadow passed away last May and while you were visiting, we got a new puppy. My dogs, Sunny and Shadow never peed in the house because they have a dog door but the new puppy is still going through training and was only 13 weeks old while you were here. I'm surprised to hear about these complaints because you never once mentioned it while you were here. Instead you told me how much you love animals, enjoyed my dogs and even talked about the animals you have back home.
My profile honestly explains that I am 11 miles from the Stanford campus, that I have dogs and teenage kids. I offer a very clean room in a beautiful home for working professionals and students. My children are kind, respectful and helpful to guests. My rates are extremely reasonable. Please understand that the Bay Area cost of living is very high and we don't have the same type of public transportation options as other countries.
Again, I am so sorry that you were unhappy staying here during the time we just adopted our new puppy. I hope you will be happier in your new location.
