This flat sits above a beautiful river gorge, near the town of Caramanico, looking up at the Majella massif. It has some of the most beautiful mountain views in Italy, and is an ideal base for walking holidays or just total piece and quiet.
The flat can be rented as one unit with two double bedrooms and one bath accomodating 4; or as part of the entire house which has 5 double bedrooms, 2 livingrooms, 3 bath, and 3 big kitchens. There is a large terrace, a garden, high speed broadband and bicycles.

My wife and I are at the house from time to time, but mostly our neighbours Domenico and Irma are there to greet guests. Domenico can also pick people up from the airport or train station at Pescara (about 40 minutes drive), or the bus or train from Rome that stops at Torre dei Passeri.

The house is probably best suited for people who want a relaxing week in nature, wether walking in the mountains or reading on the terrace. Kids will probably find it less interesting. May through July are the most stunning months if you like walking because the high meadows are literally bursting with flowers. The autumn is also very beautiful as the beech begins to colour with the days still warm and cooler nights.
We're pretty relaxed about things - there isn't anything particularly valuable or breakable. There are fireplaces on each floor, but guests only have access to the one on the top floor because it's a pellet burner that runs very little risk of burning the place down. Domenico can show you how that works.

I am a London Bue Badge Guide student. I am married to Susanne, (that's her picture on the site). We have two boys - one a journalist, and one in digital marketing - and two dogs. I love London, rowing, cycling, walking in the mountains, and eating.
