Into the living room, the walls of the wedding wallpaper stickers also revealed a festive. Clean and comfortable master bedroom with white European style furniture. Zhuwo connected with large balcony, can in the night with low-grade tea, brilliantly illuminated the city skyline.
Danny is an awesome host. Danny went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. I stayed for 1 month and I can honestly say it was a fantastic experience!!! Danny’s home is a wonderful, cozy little place to stay, perfect for 2 or 3 people wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Guangzhou. The air is much better in Qingyuan and I had many days of beautiful blue skies and lush green mountains. Upon getting to China, I took a comfortable 1 hour bus ride from the Guangzhou International Airport and Danny meet me promptly at the Qingyuan bus station. I do not travel light with two 27” suitcases, one 21” suitcase and camera equipment. However, Danny had plenty of room in her Land Rover. It was a very comfortable ride and she energetically showed me the local hotspots as we drove to her home. Before arriving at her place Danny gave me a tour of the area driving me past local restaurants, shopping and the farmers market. All within easy walking distance or a very low cost 7 RMB ride using China's version of Uber (DD). To the farmer’s market from Danny’s home is only 14 RMB using DD round trip - just a couple of minutes too! Restaurants, movies, shopping and the main downtown are all easily accessible which is nice because Danny’s home sits at the base of the mountains where it is very quiet. Her home is very comfortable. The bed and bedroom were zen perfect. I cooked breakfast each morning in the kitchen which is fully equipped and then zipped out for a walk up the Taihe Ancient Cave trail, which is only 8 RMB if you purchase it over the internet before going. Danny also got me access to the natural river swimming pool in Taihe Ancient Cave Park, which was totally refreshing, but perhaps a little cold for the lighthearted. I use the Internet a lot and I must say, this was the fastest Internet I’ve ever used in China. Of course, you’ll need VPN if you want to get to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). But, it’s fast! All in all I can’t think of a better place to spend a few days or week if you’re in China. Danny was so attentive, friendly, and responsive even when we I had a completely unrelated question. Thank you Danny! Your home was fantastic and when I find myself in China next I hope to stay again!
