‘The Studio’ is a cosy and colourful self-catering nook on the northern side of the Dingle Peninsula, buffered from the broad Atlantic by a gentle hill called Drom. This idyll is a 100 year old small stone cottage, lovingly restored, and reimagined into an ideal rest stop for travellers seeking peace - walkers, anglers, surfers, artists and writers, or anyone who enjoys room to breathe and tranquility. (We are 2km to Cloghane, beaches, bars and 15km from Dingle Town over the Conor Pass Road).
"Lisa's Studio is everything you see on its page, and an awful lot more. It's the loveliest place I've ever stayed in Ireland: a cosy, stylish, comfy space in a spectacular, quiet part of the country with a delightful host and friendly neighbours." (Anna, Studio Guest). "I’ve been to so many places and have stayed in many houses, but I’ve never fallen so in love with a “home away from home” as I have this weekend". (Hanna, Studio guest) The Studio is ideal for couples, or close friends. There is an open-plan living space where an Inis stove is the focal point in winter, until the light and views take over in summer. There is a small kitchen area, with microwave, cooker, kettle, fridge, storage and a comfortable living space. Accomodation includes a double bed but guests not wishing to share a double bed are welcome to use a single futon pull out bed in the living space. There is also a small mezzanine area but we keep this largely for our own personal use. We have a bathroom with an electric shower. 100% Egyptian cotton sheets, bedding and and towels are provided. We are delighted to share a plethora of books and artworks and and we have a good wi-fi available should you wish to invite the outside world in.
We are close to Tralee and Castlegregory, but closer still to Cloghane village and the Brandon Mountain Range, while Dingle town (which the Lonely Planet describes as “a little piece of utopia hiding on the Dingle Peninsula”) is 18 minutes drive over one of the most scenic mountain passes in the country the picturesque Conor Pass. Some drivers love the adventure of this and the views are a spectacular reward. However, if you're looking for an effortless commute it might be worth staying on the other side of 'the hill' in Dingle Town. Nearby Cloghane village is on ‘The Wild Atlantic Way’, is the original home to award winning bakery Bacus, and the ledgendary O Connor’s Bar while the Dingle Peninsula offers an array of archaeological, cultural and historical experiences. Murphy's on the pier is a treat in any weather and a must for anyone who has made it this far to the edge of Europe.

Brandon Bay View is a luxurious home on an elevated site overlooking Brandon Bay on The Wild Atlantic Way. It has panoramic views of the sea and sandy beach in front, Beenoskee at the back and Brandon Mt. to the west. We are located 30 km west of Tralee and 20km from Dingle over the scenic Conor Pass. Complimentary Continental Breakfast. No Public Transport available, so a car would be desirable. We are 6km from Cloghane, so it isn’t suitable for people walking The Dingle Way.
What makes my space unique is its friendly relaxed atmosphere and its panoramic views of sea, beach and mountains.
I love the peace and tranquility of my neighbourhood and the beautiful scenery,
  • Wow!

  • Sebaik sahaja ulasan sebelumnya menunjukkan!

Covid-19 update: currently we are only accepting bookings of a maximum of 2 people. Wild Atlantic House is a unique, high quality, discreet, family owned, traditional farmhouse, on the spectacular Dingle Peninsula with good sea and mountain views. Open fireplaces, modern kitchen and 4 spacious bathrooms and 5 bedrooms. 5 beaches, nearby. 7kW Type 2 EV charger available upon request. Digital detox. Suitable for outdoor enthusiasts, walkers, wild swimmers, cyclists etc. Off road car parking.
Wild Atlantic House sleeps 8 people, but is currently only available to 2 at any one time. The authentic old farmhouse is primarily our family's holiday house, however we love hosting guests, when we have availability. The house is a unique and special blend of the quaint and the new. It is filled with an interesting collection of antique furniture, paintings, prints and ceramics. While the kitchen and the 4 bathrooms are modern, the it retains many of its nineteenth century features, including the original staircase, beams and floorboards. The house dates from the 1890s, is spacious and full of character. It has lots of living space with seating in the kitchen, in the main hall and in the old fashioned parlour. The house has been our much loved holiday home since the 1960s, and is frequently used by our extended family and old friends who return for the fun, the peace, the beauty and tranquility of the area. The house reflects our family's interests with lots of books, maps, board games and an emphasis on old fashioned values and hospitality. ELECTRIC CAR CHARGER 7kW Type 2 EV charger available upon request. OLD FASHIONED TRADITIONAL FARMHOUSE: is located in a rural, but not isolated area. It is furnished with vintage and antique style furniture, and with some personal belongings. However, everything in the house and adjacent barn is available for your use and enjoyment. We love the house because of its genuine unspoilt traditional ambience, its scenic and unspoilt location, the views of both the sea and the mountains, our wonderful neighbours and because it is the perfect spot for an old fashioned "bucket & spade" beach holiday, a walking holiday or a complete chill out, while having much more to offer. It is our philosophy to upgrade, upcycle and reuse whatever we can within the house. We do not buy new just for the sake of it. We do, make an exception when it comes to important modern conveniences, as we believe in providing a comfortable and charming house for our guests. The house, due to its age, is not wheelchair friendly and is unsuitable for those with mobility problems. It is suitable for older children, but not for those under the age of five. DOG FRIENDLY Well-behaved dogs and pets are welcome. Please bring your own dog/pet coverings for beds and furniture. Wild Atlantic House is in sheep country, so please keep your dog under proper control, when outside, as our garden is not fenced to be dog proof. The local farmers do not like dogs being walked on the hills, even when on a lead. When the tide is out, there are miles of empty beaches, where you can happily walk your dog. On departure: please ensure that all traces of your animal and your animal’s hair are removed on your departure. BEDROOMS: There are 5 bedrooms (all upstairs): 2 twin rooms with sea and mountain views, 1 single room with mountain and sea views, 2 double rooms (queen sized double beds) with views across the adjoining rolling pastures, and a single bedroom with a view of the sea and mountains. All beds have comfortable mattresses, a duvet and 2 pillows per person. Maximum number guests: 8. BATHROOMS: All the bathrooms are a generous size and all have windows that open onto views of fields, to the rear of the house. There are 3 bathrooms upstairs, 2 with showers and one with a cast iron bath. There is a spacious wet room, downstairs, with a shower. ESCAPE: Wild Atlantic House is a romantic retreat for couples and families, who wish to escape the pressures of city life, to enjoy the old fashioned atmosphere, open fires and candle lit meals in the dining hall. BOARD GAMES, CARDS, JIGSAWS, GRAMOPHONE/RECORD PLAYER AND BOOKS: The house has a good selection of popular board games, jigsaws, playing cards, water-colour paints, coloured crayons and books suitable for all ages to enjoy. There is a gramophone/record player (plays 78s, 45s and 33s), a tape/CD player and a radio. DIGITAL DETOX: There is no TV, DVD player or WIFI. This is appreciated by our guests, many of whom have commented that their children, to their surprise, did not miss their screens while staying in the house. There is free WiFi in the local pubs. 3G mobile phone reception is available. There is a radio, tape/CD and a gramophone/record player with a selection of records, CDs and tapes. BARBECUE: There is a large steel fire pit with tripod, on which you may barbecue (use natural timber logs only) and a smaller one for burning charcoal. Upstairs in the barn, is a very large airy room used from time to time by painting groups and yoga groups. GARDEN: There is a garden to the front and to the rear of house. The garden furniture provides seating & table for up to 12 people to enjoy a meal outside and there are other garden chairs, as well as a small circular garden tea table. For railway enthusiasts, there are two railway lines in the garden, which once formed part of the Tralee and Dingle Light Railway, that closed down in 1953. PARKING: There is plenty of off road private parking for at least 4 cars, in front of the stone barn. However, it is not possible to drive directly up to the front or back doors of the house.
