The photos on the Airbnb website - plus some help from my phone's GPS - made it easy to find this holiday cottage, despite its out-of-the-way location, and for visitors to Tasmania, even the drive from Hobart to Randalls Bay is a wonderful, picture-postcard treat. The cottage is cosy and quaint - lots of little knickknacks from previous eras, and comfortable furnishings. But the most important thing about staying at the cottage, for my friend and I, and our five kids, is the beautiful bay that's easily accessed from the house (it's at the bottom of the garden). It's absolutely gorgeous and well worth a good look.

Annette's place was in an excellent location as was extremely clean and accurately described. As a host, Annette was very helpful but also left us to our own devices which was very much appreciated.

A fantastic location and for a basic comfy place to sleep - it's fine. With just me and a 2 year old this tiny space was cosy. I can't imagine staying here with five adults if it was raining. No kitchen. Hmmm.

Annette was a fantastic host. She was there to greet us on our arrival and was communicating with me all the (URL HIDDEN) unfortunate that at times I could not reply to her immediately as at some places I did not have wifi access as we were travelling around. Thanks for the lovely cookies and fruits Annette. It was a lovely stay and Maggie, Fei and Pat says thank you too.

Adventure Bay is a beautiful spot. Annette's Airbnb was compact and comfortable. A nice little outside area and comfortable bedrooms and bathroom. Although there is not a kitchen you can prepare meals with the microwave and the BBQ. All is clean and tidy. Annette is very helpful. 5 minutes or less walk to the beach. Looks onto bush. Wallabies at dusk. Quiet. A great spot to explore the island. Recommended.

We had an absolutely beautiful stay at Amaroo studio thanks to Estelle's hospitality and would recommend it without a moment's hesitation. The studio is as gorgeous as described and as verified by all reviews before me, the location is truly gorgeous with a sky full of stars at night and then peaceful morning views out to the water. The extra touches of freshly baked bread and some tasty Bruny Island cheeses made it all that little bit special and we will look back on our Bruny Island trip fondly for a long time now. 100% would recommend and stay again.

The hosts are wonderful. This is our second time staying and would recommend! It's the little things that don't go unnoticed when your away from home.

We loved our stay with Estelle and Ross who are very warm and welcoming hosts. They had thought of everything to make our stay absolutely perfect, beginning with wine and cheese on the deck which was really special. Wonderful hospitality from both the hosts, with freshly baked bread, wine and cheese platter ! beautifully furnished and gorgeous linen and towels. lots of little extras to make our stay extra special !

If I could give a six out of five, I would. A beautifully appointed studio apartment with everything you could hope for and more. Lovely touches such as hot bread on arrival, a cheese platter and thoughtful bits and pieces in the fridge. The studio is attached to the house but was very private. Large bathroom. An amazing view across the water from the front deck. Pretty garden. You need a car but everything on the island is close by.

Estelle and Ross showed us incredible hospitality. Their place is impeccable, so cosy and peaceful. Every detail was well thought about including the condiments left in the fridge the lovely mueslis, coffee and teas and the bathroom facilities were exceptional. We loved having access to their verandah and bbq it had a beautiful view of the nature and the sea. It was lovely to have private access to a toliet and our own separate space and the setting is very romantic. We also loved susie their half kelpie half borter collie she was beautiful we wish we could have taken her home as a souvenir

Estelle's place is a wonderful and I highly recommend it to travellers looking for a quiet escape surrounded by nature. Smart design with everything you needed, our hosts were generous and Estelle's attention to detail made it a pleasure. Beach and walks on the doorstep.

Ro's house is tidy, clean and cosy. We had good sleep at the house. The location is handy to the ferry heading for Bruny Island. The bathroom walls are made of glass. It is so special with nature all around:)

Bruny Beach House is amazing. Its roomy and tastefully furnished and the best equipped place we've ever stayed in. The sense of space and spectacular views are outstanding.

Really unique stay in a beautiful secluded spot. The house is the cutest little cottage we have ever seen. It's historic and super tastefully furnished. Thankfor being such responsive, thoughtful and helpful hosts.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your idyllic cottage! It is the perfect get away with everything you could need and the most comfortable bed. Had an amazing weekend :) just remember to take food from the main land with you as there isn't many shops on the island. We were first time visitors to Tasmania and arrived from Sydney at 6pm and there wasn't many shops from Hobart to the ferry open to stop and get supplies. The cottage even has a DVD player and DVDs which means snuggling up in the cold evenings is made even more delightful! Thanks again :)

This cottage was absolutely perfect! We are so glad that we choose this accommodation for our three nights on Bruny Island. As we drove around the island we knew that our accommodation was truly special and looked forward to going home every night. The location is close to the ferry and Point Dennes, which has a lovely cafe and great views. It was unlike any other place we have ever stayed. We were surrounded by wildlife such as Wallaby's, tiny and brightly feathered birds and even had a echidna burrowing in the front yard. The cottage is beautifully furnished and everything that you could want or need was provided including a BBQ and heaters in every room. Edwin was a pleasure to book with. We can not recommend this spot highly enough.

The cottage is beautiful and very well set up. It is located in a nice quiet spot with lots of space around it. Edwin was a great host with great communication.

We had a lovely few days here over Christmas. The cottage was perfect, it was well stocked so we had enough cooking equipment to make our Christmas lunch. It was a very peaceful and relaxing location and a great place to get away for a few days. There was lots of information about the island supplied including a small booklet of walks which was handy. Edwin was a brilliant host and always promptly responded to correspondence.

This place is an absolute dream. The host responded promptly to our request and provided excellent detailed instructions and information, was available for communication for any issues we had. The house is beautiful. It's difficult to see from the small, dark photos but this place is a gem. There is a gorgeous large bathtub, views of the rolling hills 360 degrees around the property, LOTS of wildlife (we saw loads of wallabies, an eagle hanging out in a tree near the house, so many other birds and quolls). There is literally noone else around, it is so peaceful, a real countryside escape. The bed and linen were lovely, very comfortable. The house has all the trimmings too: well stocked kitchen, DVD player and tv in a sweet reading room, extra blankets, tea, coffee etc. There is a small beach 3kms away which is great for swimming, along with an art cafe at Dennes Point that has delicious lunches and a small deli-style supermarket where you can pick up bottles of wine, cheese, some veg and gourmet meats.

Gorgeous place situated in trees yet only half hr drive to Hobart. The kitchen was quaint and had an assortment of local products for us to try with breakfast. The bed was comfey and the oil heater thoroughly enjoyed. Close to places to eat. Lovely hospitable host.

Ricks Haus ist der ideale Ort im Huon Tal zu bleiben. Seine Lage ist stadtnah und doch so ruhig und abgeschieden. Wir liebten sitzen und über das malerische Tal mit Blick und Spaziergänge im Wald. Die Kinder hatten viel Spaß im Garten zu spielen und die chooks, sowie die geheimen hidey Löcher im Haus Fütterung. Der Rayburn Herd ist ein solcher Vermögenswert und wir waren begeistert vor dem Feuer zu beobachten Netflix oder das Lesen eines von Rick umfangreiche Buch oder eine Zeitschrift Sammlung Curling. Sehr zu empfehlen, diesen Ort.

Puggle farm is amazing. It's a gorgeous farm house with the kind of kitchen that makes you decide to stay in and bake something wholesome and delicious. The sunroom looks out to uninterrupted forest, so you can drink tea and contemplate nature. Bedrooms are gorgeous, and the whole place is really tastefully furnished. Also, Rick is just a really great, easygoing guy. He left thoughtful touches like a loaf of bread and food in the fridge, as well as fresh eggs each day from the chooks, and we really appreciated that there was no rush to check out. We stayed three days here and it was a fantastic place to explore the great Huon Valley. Would definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time at Puggle Farm. The location is great, as Cygnet has good cafes and stores selling local produce and is pretty central to the major sites in the area. The house was perfect, with a large kitchen for cooking, warm fireplace and fresh eggs daily from the chickens. Rick was really welcoming and made us feel right at home. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet base to explore the Huon Valley.

We loved staying in your beautiful little house, everything was really clean and cosy. Absolutely loved sitting in the sunroom reading with a glass of wine. The kids loved exploring the farm. Will definitely be back for longer next time.

The cabin itself is super comfortable and has everything you need for a short stay - John and Jenene were really lovely and welcoming. We loved walking down to the beach and exploring the rock pools at low tide. It's a perfect base to explore Bruny Island, we wish we had stayed longer!! We will definitely be back

Lovely view to the bay. Eliza was welcoming and provided eggs, raspberries and lemons. The linseed oil on the furniture was overpowering and the windows needed fly screens.

This is an older style house where there is no wifi signal available and no phone signal most of the time which made it difficult when trying to run a business whilst on holidays. The house is rustic but in centrally located to the delights of things to do in the Adventure Bay area and its surrounds. Eliza was a great host and went the extra mile to provide firewood for the fireplace on the cold nights and was very helpful with advice on what to see and do on Bruny Island.

Our family had a wonderful 3 night stay here enjoying the views of Randalls Bay from almost every window in the house. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the host was kind enough to offer the use of certain food stocks in the cupboard. It is a quiet and peaceful place with easy walks to the beach. The bedrooms were all a good size and spread out and having 2 bathrooms was a bonus.

This is a lovely simple shack with all the comforts you could want for a relaxed break. The special feature, apart from the outlook over a bay is a very well equipped kitchen that makes it a foodies paradise. The shack is warm, light and comfortable. Our family had a wonderful time together.

The only downside was that the walls are quite thin (it is a shack after all) and the bunk beds are quite uncomfortable, so wouldn't recommend them for teenagers/adults. Cupboards are stocked with all the things you forget to take away on a short break so that was a big plus. Courtney was great to deal with- letting us check in early as we had a wedding to attend and always quick to respond to a query.

My sister, niece and I stayed here for three nights. We enjoyed our stay. We loved the eclectic styling and the attention to small details in the shack at Bruny.

We all had a great stay! Basic house, but charming, welcoming and personal. Overall well equipped, in particular the kitchen. Courtney was a very friendly and resourceful host. First time with airbnb, if this is how it is, I definitely do it again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Aalto Cottage. Lyn and John were great hosts and went out of their way to check in with us and make sure we had everything we needed. The Cottage itself was cozy and well decorated. Lyn filled the small fridge with all kinds of yummy fruits, cereals, breads, etc. We even cooked a few meals on the grill located in the front porch. The Cottage sits behind the main house and provides plenty of privacy. Cemetery road is a really quiet neighborhood with great views over the water. Each evening we would walk down the road and watch the sunset from a small beach nearby. If you are looking for a quiet get-a-way in a cozy cottage with lovely hosts then this is a great choice Plus it's a great value. Would highly recommend

Lyn and John are great hosts. We found them easy to relate to. They try hard to keep traveling at cheap as possible for people. Lyn baked us beautiful bread, also supplied tea, coffee, milk, cereal, juice and yoghurt. Their property is not far from anywhere! Bruny is a small island after all. Their dog penny is adorable and very friendly. While staying here we were warm enough and had everything we needed! Don't forget to buy your national parks pass, when if just visiting for a day. Most of the island is park zone :D

Lyn and her husband are exceptional hosts. Lyn arrived with hot bread for us, what a nice touch! Check in was easy and we had everything with needed. We were lucky to join them for a cup of coffee before we took off on the last day, it was great to get local insight. The cabin is secluded but in an ideal spot on Bruny south island. Beautiful spot, quiet central driving distance to all on the island.

Lyn and John are the perfect hosts. We stayed 3 nights in their cottage and were very comfortable. We were delighted with Lyn's home made bread and jam and the warm hospitality. We are happy to recommend Lyn's cottage to other travellers.
