Diana was a very friendly hostess! We appreciated that she provided towels for us to use and that there was a refrigerator and glasses that were available to us. Also we very much enjoyed the cheap price of the listing. The place was very cute. I loved how old and charming it was. It was a great place to stay.

Our stay at Diana's house was great! She was very accommodating for the check-in, even though we arrived very late at night. Her house was nice and the bedroom was spacious and comfortable. There was also the AC in our toom. She even offered us coffee in the morning. Thank you Diana, it was great!

Living in Diana's nearly 200 years historical house was a cheerful experience. The house is located in an intersection of the quiet village and easy to park. Diana helped to inform the route and check in method in advance and showed me around each room. Glad to say hi to her two pretty Chihuahuas. The bed is very comfortable and household items are complete. I joined the local community coffee breakfast, ate very delicious cakes and talked with elder neighbors. It's a delightful stay with Diana.

This cottage is delightful - you couldn't ask for a better location. It's on the water! We felt so at home and enjoyed the many places the house, yard, and dock have to hang out. It is also close enough to Portland to get in for a lobster dinner. Very homey and welcoming!

We had a wonderful stay at Carolyn's place, though it was too short (2 nights)! It was just as she described it--so peaceful. We disconnected, listened to the loons, and relaxed on the porch swing (my favorite spot). We really felt as if we had gone back in time. It was lovely. Thank you, Carolyn!

Agree with other reviews, this place is QUIET, even on the weekend. Quintessential cabin experience. Carolyn is very available (if you take your cell phone out by the lake) to help with any issues. In addition to relaxing in the cabin, we enjoyed an excursion to North Conway (LL Bean Factory Outlet and also a great cafe, The Met) and also the (not to be missed) Madison Boulder!

This was the most relaxing place to visit. We biked, hiked, kayaked and fished; just a perfect getaway to escape life demands. . Close to White Mountains, Maine shoreline and more! Can't wait to visit again.

A perfect winter retreat! Home has a great pond view, gas fireplace, hot showers and cozy master bedroom. I loved the opportunity to travel with my black lab and the close proximity to King Pine - where we were able to cross country ski on their groomed trails together midweek!! I would definitely visit again...maybe next time the kids will be invited, they'd love the bunks in the second bedroom!

We loved out stay at Helen's place, it truly felt like a vacation away from our busy lives in Boston. Her place is tucked back in the woods overlooking a beautiful lake view. One of the best parts for me was drinking coffee on the back deck while listening to Tom Petty, can't get much better than that! We would definitely stay here again, plenty of space and amenities to accommodate all needs.

This little cottage is a slice of paradise. Gorgeous setting on a small lake, made even more beautiful by the autumn leaves. The house was wonderfully prepared for our stay, which was made even more special with the use of a canoe to explore the wonders of the lake. Would definitely recommend.

Best Airbnb stay thus far. If you need a quiet and relaxing get away visit Diane and Danny 's place.They are amazing hosts. Their place is clean ,comfortable and welcoming. This place is about an hour's drive from Portland Maine. I stayed at their place along with a party of 4 , we slept very comfortable , the first room was a big bed with a sofa and the second room there was a bed and a futon , both rooms were very spacious , there was a little kitchen area and a comfortable sitting area. Diane left us English muffins and eggs in the fridge and coffee for us to make for breakfast.Also on our last stay she made us blueberry muffins, they were delicious. They both took the time out of their day to show us around their lovely yard.They also have the cutest little dog coco. The pool was huge and clean , so sad we didn't have time to use it. I would definitely return to this Airbnb. Thank you for a great stay!

Our stay at Diane & Danny's apartment was perfect for what we needed. It was so helpful that we found such a comfortable , well equipped, clean place that allowed us to book for just one overnight. Diane and Danny were so welcoming. The pool area is beautiful. We chose to book here because it was a convenient 15 minute ride from Freedom, NH where a friend is working at a local camp. This was so much nicer than staying in a hotel room. All of the comforts of home and awesome blueberry muffins! Thanks again!

We enjoyed very much this place, large and clean with everything necessary. Despite our late arrival David was very keen to check everything was all right for us. The location close to the lake is great although we had no time enought for lake activities but we visited Boston a great city. Philippe and Chantal

Once we arrived at the cottage, it was easy to make ourselves comfortable. It's small and cute. It had everything we needed. We kayaked in the lake right away and saw a bald eagle on the island! At night, we heard some loons. The next day, we hiked near the Castle in the clouds estate. The Shannon Brook Trail lead the way to at least seven waterfalls. Unfortunately, it started raining soon after and continued all day. So, we enjoyed stopping by at the Sap House Meadery for a free tasting and Hobbs Tavern and Brewing Company for dinner. The Downtown Grille Cafe right around our cottage also provided excellent coffee and breakfast. Overall, we made the most of our stay and had a fun time. The kayaks were wonderful, the cottage was cozy, and there were great neighborhood finds nearby.

Comfortable rustic cabin. Beautiful lake. Use of kayaks and canoe was wonderful!!! David was welcoming and answered any questions we had. Not too much to do around the area, but some fun restaurants around. Close to supermarket as well.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay. The weather wasn't great but it didn't matter. It was very relaxing, beautiful and cozy. David was very friendly and encouraged us to use his boats. However, it was so rainy we didn't have a chance but we will definitely return. This was truly an amazing experience!

Very good location in the lakes region. Nice quiet lake with no motorized boats. Walking distance to coffee and food. It's lake life so a bit rustic. Critters and creatures but that's the lake! Great wifi and available boats. David keeps an eye on things as he lives right on the property.

This cottage is a great jumping off spot for exploring the Ossipee and White Mountains. There are a ton of places to go out to eat and there is ice cream, coffee, and lobsters all in walking distance. The only negatives were that beyond those places, walking is a on the side of a highway with no sidewalks, so we drove everywhere else. The floors were also a little dirty and if you plan on cooking at all make sure you bring all your seasoning (including salt) with you, which is not a big deal and the host did not make any promises of those items. We didn't really go down to the lake very much since we were in more of a private mood that weekend and there was usually someone down there. Overall it was a great weekend and we were really happy with the accommodations for the price.

Amazing view, very quiet and relaxing. It's nice to have the kayaks and canoe available to use. Very easy check in and out. David gave very good directions and information, would loved to have met him but he was away while we were there.

Diana's home was a pleasant, quiet and rustic place for me and 4 friends to stay after a long day hiking Mount Washington. Diana was responsive and open to discussing any questions. She provided us plenty of details around her procedures so we weren't ever confused. I appreciated that she was able to accommodate a later arrival time due to extended hiking! We had a good stay and will remember her next time we travel to the area.

Diana´s home is a located in a beautiful area that is really close to King Pine Sky resort, and to Ossipee Lake and the White Mountains. Diana was a good and attentive host.

A very old home with strong cat odor.

We had a lovely time at David's cottage. It was very clean, quiet, and the perfect weekend getaway for my husband and I from the city. We enjoyed our time on the dock and paddled around the lake in the canoe enjoying the scenery and the birds on the lake. Everything was great!

David nous a fait très bon accueil. La description est conforme à l'annonce. Les chambres se ferment par un rideau et il faut passer par l'une des chambres pour accéder à la salle de bain. L'endroit et le lac sont vraiment très beaux. Les écureuils courent et bondissent sur toute la propriété, certains venaient très proches de nous par curiosité. Ce fut très agréable de pouvoir profiter des kayaks et du canot que David mets à disposition des invités. David est très prévenant. Nous recommandons ce logement sans hésiter.

Wonderful! The two bedroom cottage was very quaint and clean. We spent the weekend using the host's kayaks and canoe around the gorgeous lake. Easy walk to a couple dinner spots. The host offered use of a grill and fishing rods as well. All in all a very pleasant experience.

David was very welcoming when we arrived. He came down and welcomed us to the place and made sure we had all the necessities for our stay. The canoe and kayaks were available for our use for the duration of our stay as well as fishing supplies. The cabin itself was exactly as described in a perfect location to enjoy the lake and local restaurants. I would recommend David as a host to anyone and would love to return to the cabin.

Location and amenities were fantastic (as long as you're expecting a rustic lakeside cabin). Made use of the nearby grocery store, drugstore, seafood restaurant and dairy bar. Drove to brewpub for dinner the second night. Owner furnished kayaks/canoe were great on the lake, which is a perfect size (and lack of powered boats made for a tranquil visit). Kitchen was small but adequate for cooking/refrigerating what we needed for a short trip. David was great in accommodating our 3 year old son with toys and smaller outdoor chairs. David made us fell very comfortable! The cabin is adorable, the lake and scenery beautiful! You get the quiet that you want at the lake, but still so close to everything that you need!

Michael and Jane's place was immaculate and gorgeous. Very clean. Lived up to their photos exactly. My family (3 kids and in-laws included) and I stayed for a couple nights during our February vacation and we loved that it was away from everything, yet not so far from everything (North Conway area...etc), either. We were quite cozy and comfortable in their place and pleased. We are excited to come back in the future!

Michael's place was a fantastic find. It's very clean, Michael was great to work with, and he saved our weekend when another host had to cancel. The house is beautiful, cozy and comfortable. The perfect place for a weekend escape from the city life. The house is much larger than it appears, and is still cozy. There is plenty of space in the house to hang out, play board games inside or out. It's a short trip to Lake Ossipee and Conway NH.

Michael's home was perfect for my friends and I for a long weekend away. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast every morning, the wood stove kept us warm everyday, and the bedrooms were cozy and comfortable every night! We had plenty of space to spread out amongst the 3 floors and yet we were perfectly comfortable being able to hangout in the dining area or play a game on the coffee table in the main living room. Michael himself was extremely communicative and very flexible for our check in allowing us to make the most of our time in Freedom. Thank you Michael! This place was exactly what I expexted. If you're looking to get away but with a little more comfort than camping this is your place other than the fact that you can't have a fire. The trailor was clean and well kept. Many family momentos made it feel more home like. The area is pretty quiet and isolated enough but with a convenient grocery store 10 mins away. Don't forget to bring your water though because the well water there isn't potable.

Leah's home is set in a lovely spot....lots of land with trees and a pond filled with frogs! She had taken the time to leave us lots of helpful notes about where things were and her expectations for our stay. We could tell this was a special place for her family as there were lots of mementos around and it was obviously a place where they shared many wonderful memories. We hope others frequent this home as well, as it would really benefit from having windows opened more often to let the lovely outside air circulate within.This house was in a perfect location for us as we were attending a music festival 10 minutes away. We appreciate that Leah shared it with us!

Mark's place was so much more than we had expected. My daughter had rented it for her Aunt and I, with us not being experienced in Air BnB; we really were not sure what we were in for. So when we arrived to a absolutely adorable cabin with a spectacular view, to say we were pleased would be an understatement. His cabin has all the amenities and Mark is always available and responsive when you need him. The only regret is that we could not stay longer. We would definitely stay here again.

Mark's cottage was the quintessential Maine escape. The cottage was clean, cozy and well stocked with all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. The property is on a beautiful quiet pond (we thought it should be called a lake!) with a private beach, which we enjoyed in the mornings as well as on our adventure on the row boat. We spent our days relaxing outdoors or exploring nearby towns and the evenings steaming lobsters and enjoying the view from the sun room. The cottage is far enough removed to feel like you are truly away from it all but also only a short drive away from restaurants, antique shops and a grocery store. The cottage will be a trip we never forget as we got engaged during our stay. Thank you for a truly memorable trip, one we will never forgot!! Highly recommend. Sincerely, Dave & Ashley

Mark was amazing! Super communicative. Texted to make sure we arrived, and was very helpful. The view was unreal. Maine is beautiful and the cabin was in a great location. It says it's on a pond and maybe that's true for Maine standards, but I'd say it's a lake.

Os lagos estão ocupados e muitos não são públicas por isso foi um ótimo comodidade! A única desvantagem para a estadia foi que não poderia estar lá mais para aproveitar mais! This cottage is just fabulous, the pictures don't do it any justice. It is very spacious and clean and has all the supplies you may need. Patty was amazing to work with and was always quick to reply, she even let us stay late and enjoy the beach since nobody else was coming that day. The location of the cottage is very peaceful, but you are still close to all the fun that NH has to offer. The local beach is very pretty and the kids had a blast jumping off the floating dock (bring floats, they are allowed). The kids also had fun picking blueberries (although they ate them all before we could use them in our pancakes :) ). I am sure I am missing something else but overall this property was amazing, we could not have asked for more and Patty was a pleasure to work with. i highly recommend!!!

Patty's home is a treasure. Beautifully appointed. Comfortable. Cozy. Great lighting for reading. So clear that lots of thought went into this home--including nicely equipped kitchen, chairs for the beach, porch, plush towels, room darkening shades in the downstairs "master" bedroom. We had a wonderful stay -- Patty is a most gracious hostess and very responsive to questions. Thank you!!! (a side note: the upstairs queen bed is a little high off the floor, so plan who sleeps where, accordingly)

Patty's home was beautiful. It looked just like the pictures. She proved everything you could think of from umbrellas hanging in the garage, to beach chairs and every kitchen tool you might need. Even a fruit zester!! The home was very clean and just a short drive to the beach. Our kids had a great time at the beach and enjoyed swimming out to the dock and jumping off! The breeze off the water at the beach was great on a hot, humid day. We loved the very quiet neighborhood the house is located in, perfect for morning walks! The only downside for us the week we were there, was the fact it was so hot. When we would arrive back at the house after being gone all day, it was very hot in the home due mostly I believe to the skylights that let all the sunshine in. So it took quite awhile and into the early morning before it was comfortable to sleep. There were fans provided in every room but no A/C. Patty had great communication and we did enjoying our vacation in her home.

This home was so much more then expected. Its set perfectly on a quiet cove with the most sought after section a sandbar with a volleyball net in the center. a sandy beach for our little ones to play. A dock for boats and she has paddle boats and canoes plenty of life jackets! We loved the spot with our morning tea over looking the water enjoying the sunrise from the back deck . And I saw my first Loon what music they make at dusk! There is a large brick patio with 3 tables and umbrellas a ton of chairs chaise lounges and regular ones. There is ping pong table and air hocky We had kids from age 1, 3, 8 to teen ages and young adults The owner has grandchildren so there are lots of toys and games galore! We stayed at the lake the whole time only left for groceries This home has a huge kitchen with lots of pots and pans. An outdoor grill and table under an awning on the deck with a big kitchen with a table that will seat 12 easily and a breakfast bar seating This Home is very well taken care of with quality finishes from the Anderson windows to the wideboard floors the charm and Character and warm loving feeling this home conveys just pushed our experience over the top. The only bad thing was slow internet! But that forced less work and more play

Absolutely gorgeous setting right by the lake. We were pleasantly surprised by how bigger the house actually felt compared to the pictures. The view from the main’s room big window is amazing. It’s nice to have an option to grill your dinner on a deck overlooking the deck or right by the lake on a fire pit equipped with a grill rack. The appliances inside the kitchen are new and nice, it also features panini toaster and Keurig coffee maker. The camp is very kids friendly. Kids table with toy train and numerous beach toys by the lake made it so much easy for us to kip children entertained and occupied) We had a great time!!!

The hosts were fabulous. The lake was beautiful. Going kayaking is a must. The house had everything including a baby gate for the stairs and a booster seat for the little ones. Very quiet yet the house accomidated a large family gathering.

This is definitely a great to enjoy the lake. Kayak, hike, tube, fireplace...all you need is there!! The host are very helpful and nice and easy to get to.

We just got home from a perfect vacation at this rental home. We had to families vacationing together. 4 adults and 4 children (ages 8-12) and this home fit our needs perfectly. The location was great. The marina was right across the street which was perfect for renting watercraft for the week. The sandy beach area was clean and warm with lots of toys, floats for the kids. They also enjoyed fishing from the dock and catching little toads. There was not one thing that we needed that the house did not provide including sheets and towels which is a big plus. The owners were very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking for a Great Lake getaway!!!!

I truly can't say enough wonderful things about the hosts and their wonderful home. The house itself included everything that we found ourself needing and more. It was clean, perfect in size, and had all the amenities we needed, whether we were out all day exploring or spending a day at the house to relax. The lake was beautiful and the beach was stocked with everything from kayaks (with various sizes of life vests included) to water floaties for the kids to play with, as well as a beautiful place to watch the sunrise while eating your breakfast. The hosts were friendly, accommodating, and easily accessible if we ever found ourselves needing anything. The close proximity to amazing hiking trails and attractions (It was around a 30 minute drive to North Conway) that offered incredibly scenic views was an added bonds. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and we will definitely be looking to come back again next summer!
