After picking you up at your downtown core Toronto Airbnb, or other convenient location, we will start your adventure to Niagara Falls. Along the way we will stop at several picturesque waterfalls, an iconic Canadian cafe chain and an award winning winery. During short walks along tree lined paths at these smaller falls, you’ll learn about the geology of the area followed by a stop at a coffee shop chain that has become part of the Canadian identity. Then, we’ll hop in the car and continue to Niagara's wine region, where we will stop for a tasting (including ICE wine) at one of Niagara Regions most award winning wineries. After a delicious sit down lunch, we’ll go to the world-famous Niagara Falls where you will bathe in the mist from the Falls as we walk along the rim of the Niagara Gorge. My unique back ground of being a chemical engineer and a chef will give you a unique perspective of the art of gelato. We have flavours that are seasonal and creative. There is a secret place in Toronto that many visitors completely miss when they come to the city. This secret Toronto place has historical buildings in it. It has spectacular modern buildings in it. We will meet at a dance studio in Yonge - Eglinton neighborhood in Toronto. This experience is for individuals, kids, or couples/dance partners, and we will relearn the art of Salsa or Bachata (your choice. or both!) in leading and following. NOTE: If you don't see a booking date/time available, please just direct message me, and I will try to accommodate! I love dancing Salsa/Bachata because of the passionate music and sensuality. We'll practice the basic steps with a fusion into casual social dance with a partner. You will learn about timing, rhythm, turn patterns, body waves, hand holds, and sensing your partner. We'll have fun and you'll learn to dance with confidence. This lesson is for EVERYONE - from beginners with little or no dance experience to experienced salsa/bachata dancers. The class will last 1 hour. The goal is to give the male leader new leading skills and to teach the female follower to be present in the moment. It's a relatively foreign dance style, but it’s entertaining for sure! Btw, Salsa/Bachata is a fantastic way to connect with your partner on a romantic date night!!! We'll meet just inside the Queen's Park entrance (east side of the museum off of Queen's Park Avenue) which houses a huge gold rotunda ceiling. All will be revealed as we meander through the Age of Dinosaurs, Mammal and Biodiversity galleries. This is an interactive tour. It will not only engage you through questions and conversation but keep your interest piqued throughout; it is a 90-minute group interaction. I can't promise you'll immediately enroll to become a palaeontologist, but you'll end the tour with more dinosaur knowledge and maybe even a sense of wonder for these primordial creatures. If ever you've felt wine was intimidating, pretentious, or unapproachable, this is the tasting for you. You'll join me in a secretly located studio in downtown Toronto surrounded by candlelight, where we'll taste through a series of Canadian wines, in the company of other curious imbibers. You'll be poured 5 glasses of wine - all sourced from Canadian and family owned boutique wineries, none of which are available in the LCBO (Ontario's liquor monopoly), paired with locally made cheese and charcuterie, in an immersive and intimate setting over the course of several hours. There are no maps, tech sheets or data - it's just us, breaking bread over delicious wine: the social connector it was always intended to be. Perfect for a whole host of events from stagettes, birthdays, anniversaries, team buildings or holiday parties.

In my workshop you will work with me to make a soft (e.g. Camembert) and hard (e.g. Gouda, Gruyere, Colby, Cheddar, Blue) cheese. As cheese needs to be aged in a controlled environment, you will have to return after 3 weeks (Camembert) or 3 months (hard cheese) to collect a sample of what you made. You will meet the other workshop participants (I limit that to at most 6). We will discuss the origins of cheese, types of cheeses, how cheese-making developed in different regions, and the science of cheese. I will explain the basics of cheese-making and assign tasks so that everyone is involved. The process comprises sterilizing the equipment, warming the milk, ripening with bacteria, setting with a coagulant, cutting and stirring the curds, putting the curds into molds and finally washing up. This takes about five to five and a half hours (depending on which hard cheese we make) during which we will serve lunch. There is more that has to take place over the following days, weeks and months before the cheese is ready to eat, and that I will take care of.

We will talk about the benefits of natural oils & plants that can be used to improve overall health, particularly powerful for skin treatments. We will create a recipe for facial cream, body butter, skin toner, hair treatment oil, natural balms & salves. During the workshop we will have time to make three products. Mother earth facilitates the growth of countless species of plants that contain the secret of essential oils. Since ancient times these have been used in an almost intuitive way. Scientific research has confirmed that they contain a broad spectrum of active ingredients. The most common ways to apply essential oils on our skin is by diluting them in plant based natural oils. When mixed and applied as a cream the active constituents of essential oils and plant carrier oils penetrate our pores. From there they pass through the tiny capillaries under our skin and continue to be incorporated into our circulatory system. The rest of the journey is easy to imagine. You will take home the samples of each product we make.
