You can always ask one of the many people enjoying the park on a daily where a good place is to catch dinner, live music or art. I think it is a great place to get a feel for the city and possible meet some locals.

Train only goes south into the city where you can connect to another north bound train-NW and also the east west line. There is a bus that comes 1 block from the house it usually about a 20 min ride from the station.
