If you are a first time visitor, I would recommend going to this castle winery. Plus its an actual Castle made from stones and bricks from Europe.

If you like wine caves, goto Del dotto in rutherford. They have 3 wineries, but this is my best. Tasting fee per person is high at $80, but you do get food after. Great high end wines, if you are a Cabernet lover like myself.

Leave house at 9:30 am and skip the morning traffic. Time flies at wineries, so suggest you start your day early as all wineries close at 5pm and you need time for lunch and snacks.
