Improvising architects altered a wood storage area into the Blue Ox Bar. Restored glass mosaic murals illustrate the well-known Paul Bunyan—and his beloved blue ox, Babe—legend. The bar menu features hand-tossed pizza and other delectable snacks, Mt. Hood Brewing Co. microbrews, and seasonal cocktail offerings including “Honstein’s Dancing on the Bar Again”, our bourbon cocktail on tap."

Getting there - turn left onto US-26 east, drive for 1.9 miles. Turn right onto E Salmon River Rd. Drive for 5 miles. Destination will be on right.

6.9 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Rhododendron, Oregon that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate.
Getting there: Drive to Zigzag then make a left turn onto East Lolo Pass Road, which becomes FR 18. Drive 4.3 miles and turn right onto FR 1825, marked for “Campgrounds, Trailheads.” After 0.7 miles, bear right at a junction and cross a bridge over the Sandy River. Continue 0.4 miles and keep left for the Ramona Falls Trailhead. The paved road becomes increasingly narrow and broken up, so slow down. Drive another 0.5 miles to reach the large parking area. The trailhead is a huge gravel parking area.
Fees: NW Forest Pass or purchase $5/day pass at trailhead

Drive 4.3 miles and turn right onto FR 1825, marked for “Campgrounds, Trailheads.” After 0.7 miles, bear right at a junction and cross a bridge over the Sandy River. Continue 0.4 miles and keep left for the Ramona Falls Trailhead. The paved road becomes increasingly narrow and broken up, so slow down. Drive another 0.5 miles to reach the large parking area. This place is just steps from the cottage. Perfect for a whole day of activities or just a short morning/evening walk. Great place to explore if you want to experience nature without the fuss of driving or purchasing a pass. Entrance is right on the other side of US 26.

Despite the fact that Multnomah Falls is tourist heavy, it is still worth seeing if you are coming from outside Oregon. The fall is lovely year round, and the trail up to the top is suiting for hikers of all levels. The Multnomah Falls Lodge and the viewing bridge were constructed in 1915.
