Just west of Nampa is "wine country", and our airbnb is only about a 20-minute drive from a few of the best wineries in Idaho. During your stay here, we highly recommend a wine tasting at Sawtooth, our personal favorite. Enjoy the views of the verdant Snake River valley while you sip a petit verdot paired with one of their famous charcuterie boards (and play Wine Trivia--the binder is in our airbnb pantry).

Another favorite eatery in downtown Nampa. You'll love the vibe pouring out of this place! Snag a seat on the patio and watch Nampa's 2nd Street come to life in the evenings. The menu has fun taco options, but make sure you start with the Chip Trio and one of the 1st Street Tacos. Pair it with a Paloma--so refreshing!

Sightseeing
Looking to stretch your legs after your drive into town? This is the place to do it!! It's only a short drive (or 2 mile run) from the airbnb, and the paved walking track (1 mile) takes you around the treed set of ponds. Because the ponds are fed by warm springs, many types of birds stay here year round, and bird-watchers will especially enjoy the variety!

This is a great place to hike or run. You can park at either end of the trail and enjoy 3.5 miles of trail along the shores of Lake Lowell (from the airbnb, about 1 mile to the Tio Lane entry, or 3 miles to the Greenhurst entry). If you start at Tio Lane, you'll meander between groves of cottonwoods, marsh and farmland for about a mile before reaching the lake views.
