EPIC Hikes | 1-2 hour Drive
Some of the most beautiful hikes in the US are right here in the Rocky Mountains. We've listed some of our absolute favorite hikes below for you to explore. These day hikes have a medium to high difficulty and need to be planned ahead of time. The high elevations (11-14k feet) have snow for much of the year, so you'll definitely want to check the AllTrails app for current conditions.
You'll want to be prepared by bringing multiple layers, sturdy shoes that may get wet, lots of water, and multiple snacks. We highly recommend leaving early in the morning. Most of these hikes are 1-2 hours away and the afternoon weather in high elevation can be dangerous (storms, lightning, hail). You'll also beat the crowds by leaving early and get the best views. Many of these hikes require a State or National Parks pass, which you'll want to buy online before you go. Some of them will sell out weeks ahead, so be sure to plan before your trip.

Lake Isabelle, Colorado 80466, USA
This trailhead is an out and back and will take you to 3 alpine lakes at high elevation. The views are stunning and you can turn around after the first, second, or third lake. The trail can get a little challenging, so we'd recommend hiking shoes and poles (if you want to be extra safe). It takes about 1.5 hours to get to and we highly recommend taking 285 rather than 70. It's a gorgeous scenic drive through mountain streams, hikes, and 13k foot mountains. Be sure to plan ahead, leave early, and be prepared. You'll want plenty of water, snacks, and clothing layers as it is cold at high elevations and weather can change at any moment.
