Corvallis is a nice college town with many amenities that a large city has just on a small scale. It is less than 1.5 hours from the Portland airport, 40 minutes from Eugene Airport, one hour inland from the Oregon coast and about a 2.5 hour drive to the mountains. It is easy to get around. Good biking paths, /walking hiking areas and golfing.
