We can't go a week without having the House Ramen at this down-to-earth little restaurant bar in our neighborhood. Staff is about as nice as it gets and the vibe here is great. Outdoor seating, too.

A model of relaxed fine dining, chef Gabe's original restaurant is still considered one of the best places to eat in Portland. Small, cozy, limited eating so it's best to have a reservation. Ask for a seat at the counter if no tables are available. An absolute must for foodies. If it's too booked up, consider going next door to the affiliated Canard. Their third property is called Little Bird. It's downtown. A real gem if you're in a downtown mood.
