Symbio Wildlife Park is a family owned and operated zoo located near the entrance of Helensburgh just off the Highway at the top of the escarpment - 10 minutes from Stanwell Park.
Nestled on 16 acres of manicured gardens, Symbio is home to Australian animal favourites as well as a large range of amazing exotic animals, which include cheetahs, ring-tailed lemurs, red pandas, meerkats, small monkeys and many more.

One of the most popular spots to visit in The Royal National Park. You need to hike to reach the pools, and at times it can be slippery and steep, but the effort is worth it. The natural rock formations, shaped like the number eight, are quite small in size, but collectively they make for an amazing photo. Best to visit early on a weekday in summer, not only to avoid the crowds but also because it can take a while to reach the pools. A 10 min drive to start of walk near Otford. My closest supermarket - Coles is situated 7 minutes up the escarpment in the village. Follow the signs to Helensburgh and you will find all the ammenities including butchers, bakers, post office, newsagency etc.

If you want to escape the tourist traps this is a good local. Beer and barefoot bowls on the green with a view to the ocean and escarpment. Sometimes there are bands on the weekends and the Thai bistro is good. Nothing much has changed here since the 60’s.
