This is a great little park just 15 minutes up from our place. There are a few easy hiking trails that loop around through some great old growth forest. You will find gigantic trees like eucalyptus robusta, blue gum. Silk oak. And some koa trees. It’s shady throughout and part of the trail lines a massive gulch.

This place is fabulous.
sells and uses locally sourced fruits and veggies. Homemade breads for their sandwiches. Also homemade soups and quiche. They have basic groceries and other hawaiian made products.

The best plate lunches I've had on island. Locally sourced ingredients all home made from scratch. That purple sweet potato salad is fabulous. she has 3 different kim chee offered on each plate or can buy on the side. for meat lovers and vegetarians a like. One plate can feed 2 people so its affordable. Definitely get the egg on top!

Overlook is open and offers spectacular views. Check out the shops in Honokaa and the fruit stands on your way to the lookout for some added adventure.
