However, Saunders Rock at Sea Point has a little tidal pool and Three Anchor Bay has a tiny, little beach from which many sea kayakers embark. It's the promenade that draws people here. This walkway is right near the sea and is a haunt of joggers, walkers, dog walkers and families.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had! This cosy little pizza spot is unpretentious, but very authentic. We ate luscious homemade pasta, followed by big, bubbling pizzas with thin crusts. Toppings are well-thought out, and not too zany. It's not a fancy place – but I'm giving them five stars because it's the kind of place I really love. And when you leave, it's with your bank balance largely in tact. Will be back – again and again!

Some of the best pizza I've ever had! This cosy little pizza spot is unpretentious, but very authentic. We ate luscious homemade pasta, followed by big, bubbling pizzas with thin crusts. It's a small establishment on Shortmarket Street where, at most, 24 patrons enjoy a cool speakeasy vibe, lounging in booths under pictures of JFK and Jackie. Behind the laid-back facade, however, the art of cocktail making is embraced with the same seriousness as brain surgery. Owners Luke and Aki dedicate all the hours in their days to drinks that steam and sizzle as much in appearance as they do in taste. They also host the odd food and cocktail battle competing against the David Beckhams of the culinary scene. You want to be in the front row.
