Very popular place to go, only 30 minute drive. St Ives offers fabulous shops down narrow lanes which is typically Cornish and many lovely eateries that cater for everyone.
As St Ives is a peninsula, there are a few different beaches with white sand and turquoise sea.
The summer does get busy though and watch out for those seagulls when eating ice cream!!

About a 45 minute drive but worth the travel to probably THE best beach this side of the Caribbean! With coral sand, and the most tropical blue sea you will ever sea in Cornwall (or England for that matter!)
If you fancy watching a show, then there is also the Minack Theatre which overlooks this gorgeous surrounding.

If you fancy watching a show, then there is also the Minack Theatre which overlooks this gorgeous surrounding.
If you're interested in surfing we would highly recommend Gwithian. Such a fabulous beach with rolling waves. Ideal for beginners and experienced surfers.

St Day is a historic mining village, only a 10 minute off road stroll away. It has a friendly community and many amenities including 2 pubs, 2 grocery shops, butchers/deli and a post office.

We are part of Poldice Valley which is a World Heritage site . It has many walks and historic mining ruins which is definitely worth a look. This area is also a great place to cycle and you can reach each coast in 5 miles, all off road. There are many signs to guide you. One way is Devoran and the other is Portreath.
