Located in Raleigh, the NCMA is a great place to spend a day. The outdoor sculpture park has more than a dozen major works of art and is spread out over dozens of acres. Also on the property is a 2 mile trail great for walking or riding bikes.
While some of the special exhibits cost money to view, admission to the permanent collection is always free.

The museum’s collection strategy emphasizes works by diverse artists who have been historically underrepresented, or even excluded, by mainstream arts institutions, and maintains a particular focus on artists of African descent. Other strengths in the collection include European medieval art, European and American paintings, Outsider art, classical antiquities, African art and ancient American art.

The 1870 Farm is an educational farm just minutes from the heart of Chapel Hill / Carrboro and, our house.
This 17-acre farm has multiple gardens and over 70 animal residents (many of them rescues), including chickens, turkeys, sheep, goats, cows, horses, donkeys, pigs, bunnies and alpaca.
We love visiting and cuddling with their baby goats!!!!
30 -minute Goat Cuddle sessions are $10 per person.
Farm tours are $12 per person.
