You can go to the city by foot from our house, although it will take a bit of time (12kms), but a great walk, arriving in gardens by the bay north, then south.

Song fa is the best Bak Kut Teh in town according to my humble Ang Mo opinion, a Singapore classic, and a must try for foodies.

Excellent texan bbq, close from my place. Joo Chiat a very lively place, be warned though, there is some red light activity, so dont go there after 7pm if that makes you uncomfortable.
