I hesitate to add this because it is our little secret in our area. Not a lot of people go here. 5 minute drive. The main trail follows a creek that has a small waterfall on it. There are small water holes for kids to play in. The trail is a little hard only that is goes up, then crosses the creek, then goes down. Beautiful wild flowers in the spring.

Food Scene
Filo is a great place for supper and pastries. It is very close by, which makes it a great place when you do not feel like driving downtown. The only down side I have found is the coffee.

Grove Park Inn is a historic Inn in Asheville. They offer great restaurants with views of the mountains. It is a nice place to have a cocktail on the deck. They have a great gallery. And their spa is amazing!

Lots of wonderful local artists shops. Odyssey Clayworks has numerous artists in their collective. Lots of shops in this district. There is good food there as well if you are needing a snack/lunch/dinner. !2 Bones BBQ is just down the road (Yummm). !2 Bones closes at 5:00pm. White Duck Taco offers good tacos. White Duck also has a store downtown. There is the Wedge Brewery with a food truck if you are looking for a beer. Finally there is All Soul's Pizza which is one of our favorite restaurants in Asheville.
