Smiths Bar at the Stables is a fav of ours - small venue on the edge of a horse arena. Great small share plates - the menu changes frequently, good beer and ok wine selection. It's our go to for consistent food and smaller casual setting

Great beach for a long walk - beautiful white sand.
Our fab beach. Safe for swimming and paddle boarding, sometimes has gentle surf. It's good to park at the surf club, walk to the end of the beach (towards the right hand side) and walk back along the board walk and check out some of Aucklands best coastal homes!
