It's a little bit out of the city, but it's worth the drive. This 268-foot waterfall is, by far, one of the most beautiful places to visit. You can hike to the base of the falls or enjoy the scene from the lodge. I love to have dinner at the lodge or just stop in for a hot chocolate on a cold day.

Essentials
This Safeway is just a few blocks away and has everything including a Starbucks and a pharmacy. It's convenient for everyday items. Also, if you go further down 15th, on Holman Road, there's a QFC and some small shops and restaurants.

Entertainment & Activities
The Space Needle is there along with the Dale Chihuly Glass Museum and the Mopop museum of modern culture. Key Arena is on the premises and holds big music concerts with famous performers. The Science Center is there and is a wonderful place to bring children. They also have an IMAX surround sound movie theater. It also has a musical fountain that is turned on during the summer or on warmer days. Kids like to run around in it. You really can't go wrong with a visit to the Seattle Center.

This restaurant and bar is the epitome of cool. It has delicious food and drinks and specializes in local, sustainable cuisine. My favorite food is the sea scallops. It is pretty pricey though, so be forewarned This place is best saved for a special occasion or a fun splurge meal.

I like to drive out to the outlet mall from time to time since they have the best deals! You can't beat the deals on Coach, Nike, Banana Republic, etc. They have a little of everything.
