The Koreans usually have their restaurants until very late. You can try Korean's cuisines and or Soju (their national alcohol) if you want. Their prices are very reasonable.

Parks & Nature
You can take the bus (5-10 mins ride) or walk (20-30 mins) down to the bay. It is very beautiful coastal walk, you just have to follow the foot path. Especially during sunset. Beautiful and calm.

You can take the bus (5-10 mins ride) or walk (20-30 mins) down to the bay. It is very beautiful coastal walk, you just have to follow the foot path. Especially during sunset. Beautiful and calm.
Must visit. Very windy. It has a coastal walk (free) from bondi to coogee, this is recommended as you will be able to see the coastal shore up close and personal. It would usually take 2 hours or 3 hours if you are slow like me.
You can take train to bondi junction (30 mins from Rockdale) and then a bus (another 10-15 mins) or walk down.

Bondi Beach
Must visit. Very windy. It has a coastal walk (free) from bondi to coogee, this is recommended as you will be able to see the coastal shore up close and personal. It would usually take 2 hours or 3 hours if you are slow like me.

It is a small shopping mall, about ten minutes walk. It has the basic necessity. Big W, Woolworths, Aldi and a small food court. Very local, nothing fancy.
Also has a few cafes.

A few stops by train from Rockdale. High demographic of Chinese community. hence ethnic foods and restaurants. The shopping mall is the biggest around the area before Miranda (further down south) and a lot closer than the city.

I don't drink so I lack the knowledge of Sydney's nightlife. But this place has been around for decades, and it is at the centre of town, pretty friendly. About 3 stories tall, and you can go down to darling harbour from here.
