其實這條商店街它原本的名稱是「高圓寺銀座商店街」，會改名是因為在1989年小說家「ねじめ正一」所著作以高圓寺為背景舞台、名為「高圓寺純情商店街」的小說獲得了日本第101屆直木賞，因此借著這個名義就乾脆直接也把商店街更改為「高圓寺純情商店街」（就是這麼簡單的原因）！ 純情商店街位在高圓寺車站的北邊一帶，建議大家可以從這裡先開始逛，再一路往南攻向其他商店街。

以炸天婦羅丼飯為主角的「天すけ」，其中最受歡迎的就是玉子天丼了！現炸雞蛋酥脆的炸衣搭配Q彈的蛋白以及半熟的蛋黃，濃郁的雞蛋香再淋上醬汁，簡直讓人可以扒上好幾碗飯！大家只要Google一下「天すけ」，出現的圖片大概有9成都是半熟炸蛋，從這就可以知道它有多美味多受歡迎了！
