This is must do for a coffee and cake. Raspberry cafe is under 10 mins drive away, and has a rural location with a huge garden to enjoy your coffee in. They have a raspberry patch, fresh fruit ice creams and sometimes pick your own raspberrys. They use their fresh raspberrys to create beautiful cakes by the slice. Its a great spot for lunch - all of the food is great here. Be sure to ring ahead to book.

They have a raspberry patch, fresh fruit ice creams and sometimes pick your own raspberrys. They use their fresh raspberrys to create beautiful cakes by the slice. On a sunny afternoon The Tap (Tai Tapu Hotel) has a large beer garden and great service. Live music on sundays adds to a fun atmosphere. Also excellent if you have kids - they have bouncy castles, giant jenga and connect four and a play fort in the beer garden.

Christchurch Adventure Park is the next valley over to us. If you enjoy downhill biking the park has a lift to take you to the top of a host of exciting tracks. If biking is not your thing, try zip lining through the trees, or simply sightseeing from the lift. You can relax afterwards at the cafe and watch the action with a beverage in hand.
