La Jolla has everything: brewery, restaurants from comfortable mexican to super high class ocean view dining. The art galleries are maybe more interesting in New York but the gallery collections offer Renoirs to original Dr. Seuss originals.

This place is for a great day and a rainy day. The coffee is fantastic, but the menu and ambiance with couches, velvet fabric chairs and antique furniture and art is just as warm an environment as you could ask for.
