A beautiful Irish town. Well worth a trip to explore all the many shops and restaurants. Get your food shopping in the Supervalu at the top of the town. They stock award winning Gluten free products.

A great little links pitch and putt. The beach behind it is also wonderful. Peak season there is typically a mobile coffee unit there.

This is the place to go for Fish and Chips. Its right on the beach in Longstrand so its a scenic location. So popular there is always a queue but its worth the wait !

This is where you will get the freshest fish in West Cork. The trawlers unload at the pier 50m across from the shop.
Make sure to ask the fishmonger for advice on how to cook your fish!
Union Hall is 6 minutes from the house and brings you across an amazing bridge.

Magical spot, looks like a fresh water lake, but its actually a Salt Water lake. As a result has lots of rare and incredible fauna and fish. Some of which are found nowhere else in Ireland !

This is three minutes from the house. An irish stonehenge excavated in 1958, thouugh it dates back to 3000 BC! It has plenty of good descriptive signs which give great explanations. Spend a nice half hour here.

a favourite walk
This is 15 minutes from the house. It's a pretty forest walk with narrow paths that run up and down by a river. The fairies moved in around 15 years ago, and judging by their growing settlements, lots of their friends have moved in too!

Or you could just walk the whole thing ;-)

Sightseeing
Like Sheep's head around 40 minutes away the other side of Schull. There is a nice visitors centre there as well as a pretty cool bridge - not for the faint hearted. You will also pass barleycove beach so you could link in a swim afterwards

Not only does this perhaps have the prettiest small church in ireland (watch out for a wedding) the woods are breathtaking. If you are into 'Forest bathing' this is the ultimate location
This is definitely a day trip for those who are staying a week. I'd link this in with a lunch in Glengariff and then a trip to Garnish Island in the afternoon

Not only does this perhaps have the prettiest small church in ireland (watch out for a wedding) the woods are breathtaking. If you are into 'Forest bathing' this is the ultimate location
This is definitely a day trip for those who are staying a week. I'd link this in with a lunch in Glengariff and then a trip to Garnish Island in the afternoon
The gardens are stunning here and you always see Seals on the small ferry boat trip out there. It's a day trip - 50 minutes from the house. Stop in bantry on the way there or back. Best to go there on a Sunny day

The last port of the titanic. Such a pretty town, really sweet titanic museum and now an amazing tour of Spike Island also.
This is a trip to take on if you are travelling back to Dublin. Its around an hour 15 away, but 50 minutes of this is on the way back to Dublin! You can do both the Titanic museum and the Spike Island tour on the same day
