The best soups! And Dave's famous chicken salad. Casual dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No alcohol served. A great bakery. They also have a nice wine selection. In addition to sandwiches, salads, and soups, they have a nice assortment of take out meals that just need to be warmed up.

A casual place known for its wide array of beers. But the have a good menu, too. We really like the steak frites. Can't beat the price for steak and fries.

A local place to get special wines (they specialize in "flights" of wine) and beers. They have a light menu consisting of tapas, but this is a place you'd probably go to before dinner. A five minute walk from us.

We are lucky to have such a nice supermarket a mile away. They carry local produce when available, they have a nice cheese dept, full alcohol section, fresh fish, prepared meals, and pharmacy.

The Old Port, fifteen minutes away, lined with cobblestone streets, is directly on Portland Harbor. Here you will find a wide variety of shops and restaurants. (and very few are chains!) You can hop the trolley for a tour of the area or catch a ferry and explore Casco Bay.
