GUIDE TO THE WESTSIDE

Sightseeing

This beach park is 4 miles north of the studio. It's a little known gem of a beach park where you can snorkel out in the crystal blue water to see a huge variety of sea life including sea turtles.

Food scene

This is a great place for dinner and cocktails while sitting out on the breezy deck at the end of the day when you want to share a good meal and a gorgeous sunset. The deck is mere feet from the beach and your meal will be serenaded by the lapping waves and possibly a local band on the weekends. You can also check out the 604 swag which includes hoodies, caps and t-shirts.

The Monkey Pod is one of my favorite places on the west side. Really excellent food, great atmosphere, creative cocktails and friendly wait staff. Their menu has food items sourced locally from nearby farms and local Ko Hana rum and Ocean vodka.

Bike Surf Swim Gear

Everything you need to enjoy the ocean!
This shop is owned by Derrick who is the best guy on this side of the island to hook you up with snorkeling, surfing or biking gear. He's a local who has been in business for 20 years. They also carry a good selection of swimsuits, rash guards, board shorts and other swim wear as well as colorful stickers, hand-made local jewelry and other beautiful items.

Lagoon Swimming

Calm beautiful water
Ko Olina has 4 different lagoons to explore. Each one is different and lovely especially for timid swimmers. The water is calm and protected from big waves and currents. The beaches are groomed and surrounded by grass with palm trees. There is a winding walkway which goes from end to end of the four lagoons. There are also several good restaurants along the walkway.
