Don't miss seeing this amazing glacier lake. This is not only a great place to recreate, but it is Pinedale's water source! Beautiful, cold, and very deep (over 600 feet - 7th deepest in the country) and large (12 miles long). The views are spectacular.

No matter what time of year you plan to visit, please remember to pack layers! The weather changes frequently. It can go from hot and sunny, to cold and wet quickly.

Sunscreen
We are at a high altitude and that means you can burn very quickly here. If you are out on the water or snow, 15 minutes is all it can take. I recommend sunscreen year-round. The sun is intense here, even when it's cold.
