The Grand Canyon Tract has beautiful sandstone cliffs, amid a diverse array of habitats in the Blue Mountains. It is one of the most popular day walks that the Blue Mountains have to offer. It joins Neates Glen to Evans Lookout with vast views across the Grose Valley.
Distance: 6.3km loop
Time: 3 to 4 hours
Difficulty: Grade 3 = some bush walking experience is necessary.
Terrain: Well maintained track but slippery and uneven in parts. Many stairs.
Where to park: The Grand Canyon track starts at Evans lookout in the Blackheath area of the Blue Mountains National Park.

Walking or driving is the easiest way to get around Leura.
Walking: It is a short 15min walk to get to Leura Mall which is the Main Street and shopping precinct in Leura. To get to any of the other major sites in Leura and Katoomba it is best to drive.
Driving: Driving is an easy and convenient way to get around. We have ample parking on-site meaning bringing your car to Leura will be safe and allow you to enjoy all that the Blue Mountains have to offer. The Three Sisters are only a quick 9 minute drive from our home, or if you prefer to drive to Leura Mall to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat it will only take you 3 minutes.

Bring a warm jacket
Leura and the Blue Mountains is a beautiful destination all year round. However, it is best to pack some warm clothes, particularly through the months of June-September where it can be very cold and windy throughout the day. Best to also pack some exercise gear and sneakers because there are some beautiful walks through Leura and Katoomba, that can be done by experienced hikers or just a day out with the family.
