Kelvingrove Park was designed by Sir Joseph Paxton on an 85-acre site as a classic example of a Victorian park. Its design and setting on the banks of the River Kelvin enhance and complement the many magnificent buildings such as the world renowned Art Gallery and Museum featured within it.

Local transport - train

Rail: Exhibition Centre railway station is the closest train station, just a 500 metre / 5 minute walk. The train takes just 10 minutes to Glasgow Central low level. Please note engineering works from 13 March until 8 May 2022 means this line will close and no services will run during this time. However, Charing Cross station is a 0.8 km / 12 minute walk from the flat and direct trains to Glasgow Queen Street low level take just 2 minutes.

Local transport - underground

Known as the clockwork orange, The Glasgow Subway is an underground light metro system in Glasgow, which opened on 14 December 1896, making it the third-oldest underground rail transit system in the world after the London Underground and the Budapest Metro. The Subway runs from 06:30 to 23:40 Monday to Saturday and 10:00 to 18:12 on Sunday. Trains run every 6–8 minutes during off-peak periods. The nearest subway station is St. George’s Cross, a 1.5 km / 19 minute walk.
