Simply our very favourite (and seemingly most of Whitley Bay's) restaurant. Recommended by “Sunday Times Magazine” as best place to go on the coast for posh kebabs, pizzas, tacos and cocktails. The Pizzas are amazing, the kebabs fantastic and the Halloumi is just wonderful. The menu is just so imaginative and you get massive portions with beautiful side dishes. Try it it's fantastic!

We used to use a different Indian restaurant but tried this one and are so glad we did! The meat is lovely as are all the dishes and the staff are so nice. Give it a go you'll be pleased you did. They deliver takeaways too.

Whitley Bay's iconic Spanish City with it's white dome made famous by Dire Straits, has undergone a massive regeneration of recent years. It now features a lovely champagne bar with beautiful views over Whitley Bay beach, Valerie's cafe does lovely coffees and cakes, The Split Chimp micro pub (does a beautiful rhubarb cider as well as ales and kegs, lovely waffle house and a great local gift shop 'for the love of the North'. Check it out.

Di Meo's is Whitley Bay's well known ice cream shop. It has some amazing flavours and rumour has it the recipe's are well kept secrets. They also serve a lovely pizza or pasta but do close at about 7pm.
