My favorite little coffee house in downtown, The Baker and the Cakemaker, Inc. won me over with their breakfast sandwiches, delicious pastries and coffee. It's easily walkable from Hillmont Hideaway and I would definitely recommend!

Robie Point trial heads are only a mile from Hillmont Hideaway. The trails are beautifully serene and from many of them, you'll get a view of the American River below.

Parking is near the river, so no need to hike in. Remember - no glass, alcohol, or BBQs allowed here. Bring your Poppy Pass for free parking, otherwise it's $10 per vehicle.
