The Spotted Dog is a Bundaberg institution run by well known local Pato. The original venue tragically burnt down in July 2020, but it鈥檚 now up and running again out of The Railway Hotel on the north side of town and worth the short drive. Expect exceptional pub grub and big servings. Chicken snitzels, Woodfired pizza, pastas, steaks, fish dishes and more. Our favourite dishes include the beef cheeks, the sticky ribs and their garlic pizza bread is to die for.

You order at the counter and get a buzzer. Alcoholic drinks available for purchase. They do takeaways too.

Click & Collect at Cole鈥檚 Supermarket
To save money and save time and eat well during your stay we use and recommend Cole鈥檚 supermarket click n collect service. To place an order simply go to Cole鈥檚 online website in advance of your stay (around 24 hours) and choose a time slot for pick up which works in with your stay. Then go to Hinkley Central (4 mins drive from the property) and the Cole鈥檚 dedicated Click & Collect car park and call 0466 952 719 to let them know you are there. They will bring groceries to your car and you are all set for your stay.

From November through to January, it is an amazing sight to see these huge creatures heaving their way up the beach to find a safe spot to dig a nest and lay their eggs.
