Excellent sandwich shop. We usually order a sandwich, then taking it across the street to Berra park and eat in the pavilion and let the kids play on the playground.

Probably the best breakfast spot in STL. Always a long wait, we typically call in an order to go and bring it back home to eat. If you can get a spot at the restaurant tho - its a nice atmosphere and they server some creative brunch drinks.

Sightseeing
A hidden gem - one of our favorite little parks, right in the middle of the hill with relaxing fountain & chess boards setup for anyone to play. We usually get Gelato at the nearby shop & then walk over to the fountain and eat on a bench while relaxing. Local legend says rubbing your hands in the water fountain is good luck!

We usually get Gelato at the nearby shop & then walk over to the fountain and eat on a bench while relaxing. Local legend says rubbing your hands in the water fountain is good luck!
There are so many places to visit in forest park. My advice would be to go to this website to look at all the options -forestparkmap . org. There is also an outer running/biking trail that covers the entire park, its about 4 miles and is a personal favorite.
