Great traditional bakery dating from when the area was the Jewish quarter of Dublin.Theh have beautiful bretzel bread (my favourite) and lots of cakes and sweet bakes.They also do coffee and Sandwiches now!

This is a very trendy and quiet neighborhood near south city center of Dublin. It is an historic district,bordered by the grand canal and Camden street.There are many local cafes ,bakery's and restaurants, including the Michelin starred Bastible,on South Circular Rd.
Camden street is a great center for pubs and restaurants,and you have ethnic and European offerings.The pubs and nightclubs are always busy.Also during the day it's a nice shopping area with a tesos and lots of Independent shops .

Rathmines also has 2 cinemas,one in the swan shopping centre,the other a really cool Stella cinema, which is the closest cinema.The environs are mostly Victorian houses and villas built for the prosperous middle class in the 19th century!
