Bigfoot country and the home of the trinity river. Summertime its about a 50 minute drive to Willow creek. Its an amazing place to go and get some heat and then cool off in the river. I like Kimtu and Sandy Bar as places to go. Stop in the local market for directions.

The victorian village of Ferndale is about 60 minute drive south of Trinidad. It is super cute. It has a local theater and small shops on the main street of town. Very nice for a sunday drive. Cute restaurants and local flare.

This is the closest organic health food store to trinidad. They have a great salad bar, smoothie bar and hot food section for breakfast and lunches. ENF carries organic veggies and has a large natural herbal remedies section.

My favorite state park is just 5 miles north off of the 101. They have multiple beaches to hike down to and various trails throughout the park. Visit wedding rock for some amazing views or goto agate beach and try your luck looking for agates. Please always use caution when down at the beach in humboldt. There are sneaker waves so always face the ocean when looking for agates.
