Sightseeing
Hagley is an open air museum with something for everyone. It gives a lot of history of the DuPont company from it's infancy in the gun powder making business. There is the machine shop, the school house and foreman's house, the DuPont house, the family gardens, the steam house, etc. you can get guided tours of various parts with knowledgeable docents. The setting is beautiful along the Brandywine river.

A lesser known Dupont mansion, but worth the trip all the same. It was designed to resemble VersaillesChateau in France. It has beautiful formal gardens in addition to a guided tour of the mansion including the workings of the kitchen and boileroom.

Many different tours are available of this large DuPont mansion. it also has nice gardens you can tour on a small trolley.
