Showers and lots of parking along the beach. Shallow safe salt water pool past the lifeguard and bathrooms shielded from surf. Beautiful white sand beach.

Neighborhoods
This is where you are staying, at the world famous Makaha beach. There are people there on all surf conditions---which shows how versatile the island waterman lifestyle is--swimming, spear fishing, snorkeling, diving, paddling, surfing, boogie boarding, boating, jet skiing, kayaking, hoverboarding, sunbathing, picnicking, etc. There is a little strip mall where you can get a great shave ice, or do some light shopping at the Longs Drugs or the small market. Driving into the valley, there is a golf course and you can often see peacocks strolling through the neighborhood.

At the waterfront, there is a people's park that is hippie cool with surfers just off the sea wall.

A few trendy restaurants such as Scratch, and shops like Eden in Love make it a pleasant place to venture into Honolulu for a day. At the waterfront, there is a people's park that is hippie cool with surfers just off the sea wall.
