This is my favourite place in edinburgh. While it is a little off the beaten track you won't be disappointed. Top tip - try get a table by the massive windows as you will have stunning sea views. Also get the mussels dish - they are amazing!!!!!!

If you are in old town and want a cheap yummy curry - head to the mosque kitchen. Big curry for £3 - can't beat it. They have two premises (an indoor and outdoor one). I prefer going to the outdoor one myself.

Now if you want a big Scottish breakfast without the price tag.. look no further. You can sit in or take away. Top tip - you can get a big glass bottle of ironbru for £1 which is enough for two people while you eat.

Takes 40mins to walk up -stunning views of the city. Top tip - if your not feelings as fit, climb The Craggs instead (it's the hill next to it.)
If you want a good view of Arthur's seat, the craggs and Carlton hill I recommend walking along St Leonards Bank until you reach the end, there is a little walk path which takes you to a vantage point.

This is a large park, right next to edinburgh university. This park is great to walk around and soak in the view of Arthur's seat in the distance. On a summery day everyone comes here to chill, drink, have BBQs and have fun. In august the meadows is a hive of activity!

This is a neighbourhood that has quickly stolen my heart. Lots of history and culture! Many independent shops, bars, restaurants and the shoreline (old docks) are stunning esp at night. Look out for different markets that pop up. It's a very creative area so look out for street art and murals. If your a film buff - lots of iconic scenes from a Trainspotting is located here.

A little out of town but easy to get to is Crammond. It is a small old village with a beauty history and setting. The river almond with its salmon, trout and wildlife is in one direction. The Long beach is one the other side. Top tip - on low tide you can't walk across to Crammond island. Just be careful of your timings so that you can get back to land in time.
