Coffee. Amazing Coffee. Locally roasted by good friends of ours (Brian and Katie). They also have great sandwiches and pastries. Sometimes it is hard to find a seat if the students are in town, so you may want to take it to go and find a nice spot to enjoy.
(PS - It's the coffee that we've left out for you to use in our coffeemaker, so if you enjoy it, go grab some or you can even order it online to have it shipped to your home!)

Good Mexican Food! There are probably 135 La Carretta's in Lynchburg/Forest... this one is pretty good and has a decent patio for eating outside on a nice day. It is also the closest to the house. There is a larger/newer/fancier La Carretta near Lowe's on Timberlake Road. We call it "Club Carretta". You will see why if you drive by at night.

For those of you that just have to have Starbucks - this is (currently) the only drive-thru Starbucks that we have in our area. There are also two other Starbucks close by on Timberlake Rd and Wards Rd.

FYI - This is the only Dunkin' Donuts shop in town (with the exception of the one on LU's campus) that is an actual store. The rest of the DD's that show up on google are all the "Express" kind that are inside gas stations.

Store hours are listed till 9:00pm, but you will usually find people there till midnight. You may find a poker game on Monday's and Wednesday's as well.

This place is so much fun! Amazing tacos and drinks. If you are looking for a fun, loud, crowded place on the weekends, this is it. Earlier in the day, it is a peaceful place to have a great dining experience. Walking distance to some other great places as well. They are located on the downtown Bluff Walk which has some of the best views of Lynchburg.

You are about 15 minutes from one of the most beautiful places on the east coast. Hiking trails, scenic drives, waterfalls, mountain tops are all within 30-60 minutes away. Bedford is a great little town at the base of the parkway to explore as well if you are looking for a piece of Americana.
