On 1.2 acres, bordering the Santa Fe National Forest, superb mountain retreat, 20 minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza. Exceptional cabin perched on a hillside in glorious Pacheco Canyon. Imbued with nostalgic vintage finishes, filled with hand hewn and hand forged details, the atmosphere is enchanting. Main cabin graced with soaring ceilings and wood-burning stove and quaint kitchen. Add a seasonal stream, majestic canyon views, and access to the wilderness. Winter snow. 4X4 drive- winter must have.

Chameleon, Rustic Cabin, Unit 1 with private deck

Chameleon: 2 room cabin, NO running water and no toilet facilities in the casita, sleeps 4, 5 max. 2 double beds in the bedroom, & daybed for an extra person. Cooking Hot plate & electric appliances. Open deck on the Pecos River w/outdoor fireplace unless Fireban in place. Community bathhouse with toilets & showers, 300 feet from Chameleon. Other rentals on property, another rustic casita is in close proximity. Pergola screen is up. Road noise is heard, especially during peak travel times.

The semi-private casita sits on a hill overlooking our home, next to a weekday office building. Please note: accessing the casita requires hiking up a rugged path with steep steps and no rails—not suitable for those with mobility concerns. Only 24 minutes from Santa Fe, enjoy authentic country living in a rural setting while exploring all the wonders of Santa Fe!
