The Hut in the Wild

Come and stay in our beautifully finished, tin shepherds hut at the bottom of our garden. We are located in the rolling countryside with extensive views over the vale of York. After a day of exploring this AONB, there’s nothing like cooking tea over the fire pit or wood pellet pizza oven followed by a dip under the stars in our rustic hot tub. Our second of three luxury handcrafted log cabins, set on a working farm in the heart of Dalby Forest. (Also see Dahlia Cabin on a separate listing.) Perfect for couples or families. Our cozy, heated cabin has a fridge, kettle, and an ensuite bathroom with heated towel rails. Enjoy the stunning views from the covered raised decking area. Grooms Cottage is on a private estate right next to the ruins of Sheriff Hutton Castle. The property is in a peaceful setting but only two minutes walk away from the village pub and post office/general store. Our cottage was completely renovated in 2021 and is in a great location for walkers, cyclists, and explorers. It’s about 10 miles from both York and Malton, Castle Howard is under 6 miles away, and the coast can be reached in under an hour. Grooms Cottage sleeps 4 guests+2 babies +dogs

Arriving on foot, it is fully equipped with everything you might need. Close to Danby Castle wedding venue. We welcome all family pets and have plenty of fields for off lead exercise.

Stunning rural shepherds hut

Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.

Shepherd’s Hut with own private space

The Hut is set in its own private garden separate from our large country garden. It has a real countryside feel, yet is only 20-25 minutes' walk along the beautiful river path from York city centre. Inside is snug, cosy and peaceful with a double bed, two comfy chairs, kitchen facilities (fridge, microwave and kettle) and a separate shower and toilet area. Our house has a warm home away from home feeling. Situated on a quiet street near the river, just outside the historic city walls and York Minster .Our house is in the perfect location to explore all the cultural and historic attractions the City of York has to offer. It's only a 5-minute walk to one of the main streets in York and to the walls which encircle the city. We welcome dogs but there is an additional charge of £25.

Salt Pan Cottage

Idyllic location in Cloughton. Positioned close to the beautiful coastline and away from the main road in the North York Moors National Park. Ideal for exploring for walkers and cyclists. Cloughton is situated approximately 5 miles north of Scarborough on the Whitby road. Robin Hood's Bay and Ravenscar easily accessible. Seven food serving pubs within 30-40 minutes walk of this stunning location.
