Cozy cottage/villa on the golden circle

Great place for families and friends to enjoy in a peaceful environment while exploring the southern part of Iceland. The house is located in the middle of the golden circle close to Thingvellir and 50 minutes drive from Reykjavík. Gamla húsið is in Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga horse-farm, located in the south of Iceland, 35km -from Reykjavík in Ölfus and 3min. drive off Route 1. Perfect as either the starting point for an exploration of southern Iceland or as a base since it is close to the Golden Circle and a few hours drive to the glaciers and black sands of the south. Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga is a horse farm, on the banks of the salmon-rich Ölfusá river surrounded by beautiful landscape.
