The Bakoni Hide-Away is an off-the-grid retreat, ideal for a romantic getaway for lovers of the African bush. Unfenced, it is set on a remote spot on the side of a mountain with abundant birdlife, buck and other game around. The design was inspired by the many stone circles that occur in this region and the Bakoni people who are believed to have roamed the area in the past. It is ideal for couples and 2 older children can be accommodated on the mezzanine floor if privacy is not a requirement.

Please note, our property is located deep within the forest, requiring a 3km drive on a dirt road. While the road is generally well-maintained, heavy rain may occasionally make it a bit slippery or uneven. We navigate it in small cars too.

Holingsberg River Cottage is an exclusive Self Catering River Fly Fishing Destination for the serious fly fisher. The chalet is upmarket and private, and situated on a working farm yard, where the owners live. The kids are welcome to interact and learn about the farm animals. The fly fisher has 1.5km of river front, 300m away. Come and enjoy the splendid view from the patio while preparing dinner, relaxing around a fire, and discuss the catch of the day. Tranquil Nelspruit Family Stay (NO Loadshedding)

Load shedding equipped - inverter and battery system. This is a very comfortable, centrally-located family home with an open-plan living space leading out to a large deck, which overlooks a sparkling pool and treetops of the adjacent green belt. The house is best suited for up to 4 adults and their children (maximum 6 guests in total). Because the unit only has 2 ground floor bathrooms, we will not be able to accept booking requests for 6 adults. Strictly no noise and no parties allowed.

My place is close to the city center. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups. My cottage is on the Panorama route on the way to God's Window, The Pinnacle, Bourke's Luck Potholes, The Three Rondawels and The Blyde River Canyon to name but a few. It is a wonderful "home away from home".
