This is not only a fantastic looking pillar it's also an integral part of the history of this city. Besides, it's not very crowded considering how nice the place is for an afternoon visit in winter or a visit on a cool summer night.

The Qutub Minar, also spelled as Qutb Minar and Qutab Minar, is a minaret and "victory tower" that forms part of the Qutub complex. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Mehrauli area of South Delhi, India. It is one of most visited tourist spots in the city due to it being one of the earliest that survives in the Indian subcontinent.

The "lone minaret" or "victory tower" is Delhi's tallest monument (73 metres) and a world UNESCO heritage site. If you visit, you will know why. Thankfully, Delhi now has plenty of heritage guided walks through its main monuments, including by night, which can be quite a lovely experience.

One of the many (historical monument) tourist attractions in Delhi, only 2 kms from our accommodation. Adjacent to the Garden of Five senses, a beautiful picnic spot with fine dining options.
